As Vice President and Corporate Comptroller of a major Public Company and
President and CEO of various companies for 17 years Keith has substantial
experience with Boards. He was a Board Director of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) for five years and President and CEO of the Institute in 2001 and 2002. During that time he and the Chair developed a strategy to revive the organization and make it more relevant to directors. This was based on
broadening the base by developing chapters across the country and providing education services to directors. This matured into a full scale certification program for directors, which proved extremely timely as a result of several corporate failures, particularly in the US, where the role of the board was considered to have been inadequate (e.g. Enron). This led to the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation. Keith has completed the program and qualified for the Institute’s designation of ICD.D
